You might already be aware that I’m making a video game called Extreme Hugtime Simulation Challenge. If you’re not, it’s a game about hugs, pure and simple. It’s also a parody of Japanese game shows, and features twenty-two different Hugtime Challenges for you to test your hugging mettle against. But, unfortunately, it won’t come to life without money. A sad truth, yes, but luckily, EHSC doesn’t need much.

I’ve decided to set up a Kickstarter account for our game, so that anyone in the Internet who thinks we’re capable of creating a good game, or just wants to see a game about hugging, can donate to our development budget.

You can check up on progress at our website, or on ModDB. As you can see, we’ve already gotten past the conceptual phase and moved toward creating in-game assets, and our engine is coming along, too, but we just need a little push to get the animation, 2D art, and environmental modeling done.

If you donate, then you can qualify for the following rewards:

  • Your name in the credits of the game
  • A free copy of the game for Windows PC
  • A digital copy of the game design document, concept art, and more
  • The opportunity to be in our game as a Hugtime Challenger
